Digital Ecosystem Infrastructure Pilot is designed to accelerate city startup ecosystem development, to create better growth economic conditions.

Each vibrant startup ecosystem have their own ingredients, shapes and sizes but all of them share the same goal: to serve business creation by startups in the most effective ways possible to facilitate innovative companies development and make cities more prosperous.

​By running this pilot, you will build on top of the work you are doing now to support startups and innovation to go further with what you’ve got.

Key Steps

Commit
Main key stakeholders in the city make strong and public statement to getting better performance for their startup ecosystem by empowering local actors to effectively harness a holistic digital ecosystem infrastructure implementation.
Map 
Identify current public, private and NGO organisations that are part of the local ecosystem as well as identify and map current support services or resources these organisations contribute for the ecosystem as a whole and to what startup development phases those are aimed for. 
Do
​The City systematically generates and collects primary data, being enriched by secondary data to get a better understanding and to assess real-time progress toward goals and support continuous improvement, evaluating startups programs and services to determine and improve their impact.
Iterate
The City uses the data ​for measuring key services and ecosystem as a whole, as well as benchmarking with other local and global ecosystems to identify ways to constantly improve the volume and velocity of the ecosystem innovation output, shaping economic policy discussions and operative challenges, finding best ways to allocate budgets and fundings with the objective of better supporting the creation and growth of innovative startups to become globally significant companies.

Pilot Assessment

Before knowing how we can work with you, please make sure that your city fits the following criteria to be eligible:
  • A city population between 150,000 and 10,000,000
  • Your city has a current action plan in place to support entrepreneurship, startups, innovation.
  • Your city major is focused on getting an unified vision of the startup ecosystem
